Tasks & duties
Automotive parts salespeople may do some or all of the following:
- advise customers on what parts and accessories are needed for vehicles
- select parts from the storeroom
- locate and order parts from suppliers
- sell parts to customers
- display parts on shelves and keep shop area tidy
- keep records of all parts being sold and stored
- pack parts and arrange delivery to customers
- deliver and pick up parts for customers and other workshops or departments
- order new parts to maintain stock levels
- organise advertising and sales promotions
- carry out other tasks such as banking.
