Tasks & duties
Retail salespeople may do some or all of the following:
- help customers choose products
- advise on the use and care of products
- pack or wrap purchases
- collect payment or arrange credit
- keep sales areas clean and tidy
- price stock
- display new stock
- carry out stocktakes
- order new stock andcheck stock is in good condition when it arrives
- arrange the delivery of purchases
- prepare invoices and sales dockets.
