Entry Requirements
To become an anaesthetist you need to complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and spend at least two years as a junior house surgeon in a hospital.

Salaries for anaesthetists in training vary between $87,500 and $116,000 depending on factors such as frequency of on-call or emergency cover.
