Entry Requirements

A certificate in therapeutic massage is recommended, as is having a first aid certificate.

Pay

Most massage therapists charge from between $30 to $80 an hour, depending on whether they are giving a full-body, half-body or neck and shoulders massage.
 

 

Job Outlook

Job opportunities for massage therapists in New Zealand are good but remain best for people who have trained through an NZQA-accredited institution and are registered with Massage New Zealand .
