People working in health services roles may help rehabilitate people with injuries

People working in health services jobs may:
  • assess, diagnose and treat patients and clients
  • care for patients and clients in their home, a hospital, clinic or emergency
  • rehabilitate people who have specific injuries or disorders (for example, difficulty with speech or movement)
  • care for and maintain hospital equipment
  • help people to prevent injuries and maintain their health
  • work in a laboratory or do research.

Health services may involve working in the community, hospitals or clinics, and providing alternative and holistic therapies, as well as conventional treatments.
