Tyre servicepeople need to have:


  • knowledge of different types of tyres and the construction of tyres

  • knowledge of tyre fitting techniques

  • knowledge of vehicle parts

  • knowledge of Land Transport New Zealand regulations and safety standards

  • practical skills, including the ability to operate machinery

  • basic computer and maths skills

  • analytical and problem-solving skills

  • good customer service and communication skills.

  • reliable and hard working

  • efficient

  • accurate, with an eye for detail

  • able to follow instructions
