Physical Requirements

Train managers need to pass medical tests and have good hearing and eyesight (with or without corrective lenses), and normal colour vision.

Physical health and fitness is helpful because train managers spend a lot of time on their feet, often on moving trains, and may need to lift heavy items such as luggage.

Train managers also need to have a tidy appearance.
