Entry Requirements

Most people find a job as a sheet-fed printer then start an apprenticeship. To enter an apprenticeship you need to be employed in a printing company, pass an eyesight test and have normal colour vision.

Secondary Education

Three years of secondary education is preferred to enter further training.

Relevant courses

Training on the job

Skills are gained on the job. Apprentices complete assignments and attend workshops. Further training in supervision and management is also available for sheet-fed printers wanting to move into these roles.

 

Useful Experience

Experience working with machinery or in a factory is useful.
