Acupuncturists work in comfortable surroundings in:
  • community health centres
  • sports institutes
  • private clinics
  • their own home.
They may also visit patients in their homes.

Equipment acupuncturists may use includes:
  • acupuncture needles
  • Chinese herbs
  • heating and massage equipment
  • laser and electronic equipment.

Hours

Acupuncturists usually work regular office hours, depending on the level of demand for their services. They may be required to work weekends or be on call.
