Hours

Civil engineering technicians usually work regular hours from 9am to 5pm, but may be required to work in the evenings to meet deadlines.

 

Contact with people

Civil engineering technicians work independently or in a team. They may supervise groups of workers. 

They sometimes work under the direction of a civil engineer, and interact with contractors, other technicians and engineering professionals.
