Working Conditions

Automotive refinishers work in well-lit, ventilated paint and panel workshops, and in vehicle paint shops. They spend a lot of time on their feet and must wear protective clothing.

Travis Woods

"The health and safety issues are very important in this work. You need to wear safety clothing when you're applying paint and preparing surfaces because paint and paint fumes are harmful to people. We use a range of gloves and masks when working, including a full-face ventilated mask and suit when spraying."
