Working Conditions
Electronics servicepeople work in customers' homes and offices, and in factories and workshops where conditions are clean and dust-free. They also work at radio and transmitter sites, on ships and aircraft, and in the Navy and Air Force.
Electronics servicepeople who work for electronics companies that have a nationwide network may travel to other branches around the country.

Equipment
Equipment electronics servicepeople use includes:
- an oscilloscope to check electronic signals
- a multi-meter to test electric components
- signal generators
- hand tools such as screwdrivers
- power tools
- a soldering iron to solder components together
- specialised instruments and equipment.
Hours
Electronics servicepeople work regular hours, but may work overtime and be on call.
Contact with people
Electronics servicepeople work independently and in teams. They interact with clients and manufacturers, and work without supervision. They may also supervise a trainee electronics serviceperson.
