Working Conditions

Aluminium joiners work in aluminium factories and workshops, where conditions may be noisy. They may travel locally to deliver products to building sites and residential areas.

  • precise measuring equipment
  • protective clothing such as safety boots, face masks and earmuffs
  • vehicles to deliver products for installation.

Hours

Aluminium joiners usually work regular hours. They may also work early mornings, evenings and weekends to complete a job.

 

Contact with people

Aluminium joiners work in small or large teams, depending on the size of the job. They often work under the direction of a supervisor or experienced worker and may have contact with other tradespeople and clients.
