Industry sources indicate that the average gross salary for health and safety officers in 2008 was about $68,914, with the highest-paid 25% earning about $81,991, while the lowest-paid 25% earned an average of $54,600 a year.
According to the 2006 Census, health and safety officers earned an average of $49,700 a year and worked an average of 39 hours per week. This includes full and part-time workers.
