Wages vary, but most automotive parts salespeople on a beginner's wage earn from $13 an hour. An automotive parts salesperson who can manage a team can earn up to $20 an hour.

According to the 2006 Census, automotive parts salespersons earned an average of $38,900 a year and worked an average of 30 hours per week. This includes full and part-time workers.
