The Careers and Transition Education Association (Aotearoa) provides a network for careers and transition educators to exchange ideas, information and courses, and acts as a government lobby group. 

The primary purpose of the Early Childhood Council is to represent the interests of independent early childhood centres and to promote the provision of quality early childhood education services. 

New Zealand Kindergartens Incorporated is the national organisation representing over 400 kindergartens throughout New Zealand. 

The New Zealand Teachers Council is the professional body for all registered teachers working in early childhood, primary, secondary, tertiary and other teaching situations. It provides teacher registration, engages in research and other professional projects to support teachers and supports maintenance of professional standards.
