A driver’s licence is vital for property managers and real estate agents who spend a lot of their time out visiting properties

Training for property services jobs varies depending on the job, your level of experience in the industry, and the area you want to work in. It may include completing national certificates, professional registration or licensing, a diploma or a degree. For example:
  • property managers and developers need to have experience in the industry, but a relevant diploma or degree in an area such as property, law or finance may also be required
  • real estate salespeople need to complete a national certificate to enter the job
  • property valuers must have a relevant degree, and be registered.
Real estate agents and property managers must have a driver’s licence to allow them to visit properties and transport clients to viewings.

"You have to be patient - patient about getting the right background in your experience.  You should be far more focused on the quality of experience you're getting as opposed to every last cent you're getting paid."
