The right training and support will help you to progress into supervisory and management roles

Training for finance, accounting and insurance jobs varies depending on the area you want to work in. For example,
  • no formal qualifications are required for many insurance and banking jobs, but training is given on the job
  • for many accountancy jobs you will need to complete a tertiary qualification in an area such as accounting or economics.
Once you are in work, ongoing training, examinations and membership of professional bodies are often required.

"I couldn't do my job unless I had the information that I've gained through exams and training, but you have to have the right people skills as well."

Peter Webb - Insurance Loss Adjuster
