Many of the skills needed to work in telecommunications are learned on the job
Training for telecommunications jobs varies depending on the area you want to work in, and may include:
- on the job training
- completing apprenticeships to gain national certificates or diplomas
- degree-level qualifications in telecommunications, electrical and electronics, or computer science.
Training for some telecommunications jobs is also available in the armed services.
