What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide people, employed in a service or support role within a forest, with basic skills and knowledge of the forestry industry and awareness of specific hazards associated with accessing forests and forest operations.

The forest industry will benefit from having people who can access the forest environment and carry out a variety of support or service roles, while ensuring their own safety.

Service roles may include hose doctors, mechanics, tyre repairers, or forest security. Support roles may include trainers, assessors, supervisors, or researchers.
