What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is for people already working as supervisors in a construction related trade, or for people who want to move into the role.
The qualification is designed to provide construction related industries with trained people who have the essential knowledge, skills and aptitude required to be a competent supervisor for the work of a specific trade on construction projects.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

It is expected that candidates for this qualification will have existing knowledge and skills in the trade that they will be supervising. Consequently, the award of any qualification at Level 3 or 4 from the Planning and Construction related subfields, or the demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skills, is a prerequisite for entry to this qualification. Academic Applicants must meet the following criteria for admission into the programme: Completion of a qualification at Level 3 or 4 from the Planning and Construction related subfields, or the demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skills, is a prerequisite for entry to this qualification. Interviews An interview is not required. English Language entry requirements Applicants must have sufficient competence in the English language to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English. Any applicant whose first language is not English will be required to provide evidence of their English language competency as follows: An overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 5.5 (with no score below 5.0) or equivalent.
