Entry requirements
It is expected that candidates for this qualification will have existing knowledge and skills in the trade that they will be supervising. In addition, the award of The New Zealand Certificate in Construction Related Trades (Supervisor) (Level 4) or the demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skills, is a prerequisite for entry to this qualification.

This qualification is for people already working as a main contract supervisor in a construction related industry, or for people who want to move into the role.
The qualification is designed to provide the construction industry with trained people who have the essential knowledge, skills and aptitude required to be a main contract supervisor on construction projects.
The skill outcomes support the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment Licensed Building Practitioner Scheme, providing eligibility for a streamlined application process toward the Site Licence Classes 1 and 2.
