What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is designed for ākonga/learners who are seeking to develop a range of introductory technical skills and conceptual knowledge in arts, crafts or design contexts.

Graduates of this qualification will have developed practical application of knowledge and skills in preparation for further study.

Graduates will be able to operate under limited supervision.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Academic Entry Requirements: There are no compulsory academic entry requirements, however learners enrolling are recommended to hold one of the following qualifications: NCEA Level 2 or 3 New Zealand Certificate in Arts and Design (Level 2) [Ref: 2625] English Language Entry Requirements: Students whose first language is not English must provide evidence of competency in English language equivalent to IELTS General or Academic score of 5, with no band score lower than 5; or equivalent score in NZSE s internal English Proficiency Assessment. International students must hold a valid study visa to enrol in this programme. There are no mandatory prerequisites (including prerequisites to meet regulatory body or legislative requirements) for entry to this qualification.
