What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is for people wanting to gain the specialised technical skills and knowledge required to work as a designer in the fashion industry. It is designed for people already working in the fashion industry, those who have completed prior fashion study, and/or those wanting to move into self-employment.
The fashion industry and creative and cultural sector in Aotearoa New Zealand will benefit by having people who have specialised skills and knowledge, and technical expertise, in fashion design.
Graduates will be able to independently generate design concepts through research and analysis of current economic factors and the marketplace.
