What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the New Zealand passenger rail industry with people who have the skills and knowledge required to work as a train manager and deliver safe and efficient customer services to people travelling on the rail network.
The qualification is for people intending to enter the passenger rail industry or people already working in the industry who wish to move into a train manager role.
Graduates will be capable of working under limited supervision to carry out the duties of a train manager on board passenger trains operating on the New Zealand rail network.
