.This qualification may only be awarded to candidates that have previously been awarded the New Zealand Certificate in Textile Manufacturing (Level 4) with an optional strand in Technical Leadership [Ref: 2978] including the optional strand; or can provide evidence of and/or demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is intended for people who are experienced in textile machine operation and operational adjustment who wish to gain advanced technician skills and a formal qualification.

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the textile manufacturing sector with people who have advanced skills in technical textile machine setting and maintenance skills including commissioning, decommissioning, machine modification and optimisation.

Graduates will provide technical leadership and operate at a senior level without supervision.
