Entry requirements
Both national and international Learners must be at least 20 years of age in the year of study and hold as a minimum a Level 5 Diploma and 3 years related work experience or Level 6 Diploma and two years related work experience or degree and one year of work experience or the applicant can demonstrate equivalent level 6 academic plus practical professional or technical knowledge and skills in an entrance examination All applicants will have a conversation to discuss their interest in this advanced programme International Learners who have achieved their qualifications in non English speaking educational settings must also provide evidence of having achieved an IELTS Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5 5 in one test event or current English language equivalent.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This programme aims to develop highly effective team and /or project managers and leaders. Learners will utilise different strategies, theories, models, approaches, research and practices in simulated and real life situations to enhance advanced management skills and professionalism. At the end of the programme, graduates will be able to research, plan, implement, monitor, problem solve, assess and revise approaches as needed for the sustainability, productivity and continuous improvement of businesses and social sector entities. Learners will develop advanced and professional facilitative capabilities and be able to effectively motivate personnel in organisations and/or working on complex projects supporting high levels of productivity and organisational sustainability and quality enhancements. Learners targeted are those who aspire to be highly effective managers and agents of change who want to make a difference in a diverse society using effective professional management practices in New Zealand or other international settings.
