What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide people in a wide variety of gas industry support roles with the skills and knowledge to support and assist the public and other gas industry members with gas related incidents, emergencies and queries and to co-ordinate functions across businesses in the gas industry.
The wider gas industry will benefit from the consistent use of language and approach to co-ordination or management of incidents, emergencies and queries across the different roles and parts of the gas industry.
Graduates will operate unsupervised and know their limitations when dealing with incidents, they will know when to seek advice and will be able to correctly make a judgement about when to escalate a gas incident.
