Entry requirements

The New Zealand Certificate in Reticulated Gas Pipelines (Level 4) with strands in Metering and Pressure Control, Polyethylene Pipelines, and Steel Pipelines and an optional strand in Gas Incident Response [Ref: 3593] or equivalent skills and competency is a prerequisite to enrolment in programmes leading to this qualification.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the reticulated gas pipeline industry with specialist technicians who have the skills and knowledge to provide technical advice and to oversee work across multiple worksites.

The qualification is stranded to recognise the skills required to use highly-skilled techniques and/or specialised equipment to complete complex work on gas infrastructure in the metering and pressure control, polyethylene pipelines or steel pipelines industries.
