Entry requirements

Candidates are expected to be employed in the scaffolding industry.

On completion of the qualification, graduates are eligible to apply for the Scaffolding Certificate of Competence in the following endorsements (or their subsequent amendments or replacements).
- General Scaffolding Certificate of Competence (Elementary)
- Basic Certificate
A. A fall arrest system
B. A free standing modular scaffolding system
C. A gin wheel
D. A rope
E. A static line
- Advanced Certificate
Tube and coupler scaffolding

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand with people who have attained general scaffolding skills who will largely work in the residential construction or maintenance sectors.

Graduates of this qualification will be eligible to apply for the Scaffolding Certificate of Competence (Elementary) as required under Health and Safety regulations.
