Entry requirements
Applicants must meet the following entry requirements: Hold a relevant Bachelor's degree OR Have a relevant professional qualification or experience approved by the Director of Practice or their representative, to demonstrate ability to study at level 7 AND Have completed a minimum of 30 credits study at level 5 in Human Bioscience and Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent. AND Have English competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English. http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/assets/_generated_pdfs/english-international-students-8293.pdf Any applicants whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of an overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 6.5 (with no score below 6.5) or equivalent. AND * Provide a completed medical declaration and/or evidence of a current health certificate from a registered health practitioner, indicating ability to practice safely and to be physically capable of meeting the practical aspects of the programme. * Each applicant will be required to declare all criminal convictions and pending convictions, and submit a New Zealand Police Consent to Disclosure of Information form with their application. This will be sent to the Police Licensing and Vetting Service if the applicant is accepted into the programme and is returned in confidence to the Director of Nursing. Information on the New Zealand Vetting Service is available from www.police.govt.nz/service/vetting/guidelines.html VCA checking * Provide two testimonials and/or character references attesting to candidate's suitability for working in Health Care * Provide a confidential report from the institution where a candidate is applying to transfer from another institution. AND Prior to final acceptance and enrolment students must provide: * Relevant evidence of health screening to meet various Health Authority/Institutional requirements is required in order to complete enrolment
