What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is intended for those working or intending to work as a building surveyor in the New Zealand professional context.

The industry will benefit by having people with the capabilities and competencies to make informed decisions and to perform the functions, roles and responsibilities of a building surveyor in a building regulatory context including working within an accreditation framework.

Graduates will demonstrate and apply professional theoretical and technical knowledge, skills and capabilities to operate as a building surveyor.

Minimum requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of 50 NCEA credits at level 2 or above, including 12 credits in English or a related subject at level 2 or above and a minimum of 10 Numeracy credits at level 1 or above, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge or skills.
