Purpose of award
Available to students intending to study a degree course at Lincoln University.
Selection criteria
Candidates must be former students of Christchurch Boys' High School who are intending to pursue a recognized degree course of study at Lincoln University. Scholarships/Awards available for leaving Year 13 Students .(This applies to New Zealand/Australian citizens or permanent residents only)
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
The award of these scholarships are conditional on gaining Level 3 NCEA 60 credits in achievement and/or unit standards over 3, 4 or 5 subjects. These scholarships may be continued in subsequent years provided satisfactory academic performance is maintained

How and when do students learn of the decision?
Applicants are advised by letter following the Trust meeting and the interviews of school leavers who have applied.

Three Trustees of the Sir Arthur Sims Scholarship and the Headmaster of Christchurch Boys' High School.
History or background of award
Established by Lady Sims in memory of her late husband, Sir Arthur Sims, himself an old boy and generous benefactor of Christchurch Boys' High School.
