Purpose of award
To support a student undertaking study towards a BE (Honours) Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering in their final year of undergraduate study.
Selection criteria
Selection will be based on academic achievement, a demonstrated interest and aptitude in pursuing a career in the provision of professional engineering services, and the potential to contribute to the industry.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?

How do students apply?
Please note, Scholarships usually open for application approximately 6 weeks before the closing date.
Application by form is made to the Scholarships Office.

GHD Achievement Scholarship
How and when do students learn of the decision?
Approximately six weeks after the closing date by letter or email.
Decision makers
The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising a representative of GHD, the Dean of the School of Engineering (or nominee), and an academic from the School of Engineering chosen by the Dean in consultation with the GHD representative.
History or background of award
GHD is an international professional services company providing leadership in management, engineering, the environment, planning and architecture.
As the foremost multidisciplinary professional services company GHD is committed to balanced and sustainable development.
Additional information
GHD will, where possible, provide the opportunity of summer and/or other final year vacation work experience to the recipients of the GHD Achievement Scholarship.
