Purpose of award
The University of Waikato Re-Vision Scholarship for Tauranga was established to assist adult students to gain access to learning opportunities at the University of Waikato Tauranga Campus.
To be eligible for consideration applicants must:
a) be at least 21 years old;
b) be intending to enrol full-time in undergraduate study at the University of Waikato, Tauranga campus;
c) not be currently enrolled at any other New Zealand Tertiary Institution or overseas, nor have been enrolled in a Tertiary institution in the past two years;
d) not be eligible for Fees-Free under the NZ Government’s Fees-Free Tertiary Education Policy during the year of tenure of this Scholarship; and
e) be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
Applicants who have already completed or partially completed a may also be considered.
How do students apply?
If you are new to the University of Waikato you will need to:

If you are a current student or already have a MyWaikato account you will be redirected to the MyWaikato screen:
Log in to MyWaikato
Click on the ‘Scholarships’ tab and select the scholarship you wish to apply for from the list of scholarships at the bottom of the page.
Once you are ready, click on the 'Apply Now' button below and continue with your application/s.
The Scholarship Selection Panel will comprise of the Chair of the Scholarships Committee (or nominee) as chairperson, the Academic Director Tauranga Campus (or nominee); and a Faculty representative from the Scholarships Committee as appointed by the Chair of the Scholarships Committee.
History or background of award
The University of Waikato Re-Vision Scholarship (Tauranga Campus) recognises the importance of contributions made by adult learners to the University of Waikato community. The Scholarship was launched in 2018, with the primary aim to support those who have entered the workforce, taken time off study for personal reasons, or did not anticipate the opportunity to attend a local university in Tauranga. The Scholarship coincides with the opening of the University of Waikato’s CBD campus in Tauranga in 2019.
