Up to $4,400 stipend + up to $2,000 travel allowance and international student health and travel insurance

Purpose of award
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to give current university students from key partner universities, the University of Bristol, the University of Southampton, Zhejiang University, Pennsylvania State University, University College Dublin and the University of Hong Kong, an opportunity to experience research at the University of Auckland, and to thereby encourage the development of and strengthening of research relationships with the University of Auckland.
All students are required to apply for admission to the University of Auckland Northern Hemisphere Summer Research Scholarship programme and enrol in the Summer Research course, SUMRESCH 302, and are expected to conduct a research project of approximately 8 weeks duration under the supervision of an academic staff member.Actual starting and finishing dates must be agreed by the supervisor but must fall within the period June-August inclusive.
The Scholarship is tenable by students enrolled at either the University of Bristol, University of Southampton, Zhejiang University, Pennsylvania State University, University College Dublin or the University of Hong Kong at the time of application.
How do students apply?
The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) (or nominee), and two members of the University of Auckland Research Committee nominated by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research).

The Scholarship was established in 2017 and is funded by the University of Auckland.
