What does the scholarship get me?
$10,000 contribution to the cost of staying in one of Victoria University's Halls of Residence.

Purpose of award
The scholarship is to offset the cost of staying in one of Victoria University’s Halls of Residence.
Selection criteria
• Be a registered beneficiary of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Manawa, Murupara.
• Be an enrolled fulltime student of Victoria University of Wellington.
• Be attending one of Victoria University’s Halls of Residence.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
The scholarships will be paid in 2 instalments and cease should a student end full time study.
Scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to contribute positively to the university marae by volunteering some time to support the role and function of the marae, or by supporting other Ngāti Manawa/Māori students to have a positive university experience.
How do students apply?
A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.

Decision makers
2 x Ngati Manawa Rūnanga or Charitable Trust trustees (or their nominated representative/s) along with 1 University representative, either the DVC (Māori) or her nominee.
History or background of award
This scholarship is funded by Ngāti Manawa Charitable Trust in conjunction with Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Manawa for the purpose of encouraging and financially supporting the successful pursuit of tertiary qualifications and leadership development for Ngāti Manawa.
