Purpose of award

To encourage academic excellence amongst students in the Department of Property.

Selection criteria

The Scholarship shall be awarded each year to the student who, in the year of the award, is enrolled and has paid the fees or has arranged to pay the fees, for the Degree of Bachelor of Property or Conjoint at The University of Auckland, having achieved the best overall result in the preceding year for PROPERTY 211, PROPERTY 221, PROPERTY 231, PROPERTY 241, PROPERTY 251, PROPERTY 261, PROPERTY 271.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?

The University of Auckland Council will have the power to terminate a Scholarship if, in respect of any Scholar, it receives an unsatisfactory progress report from the Head of the Department of Property.

How do students apply?

Scholarship applications will usually open around six weeks before the closing date. Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible before you apply.

How and when do students learn of the decision?

The Scholarship's emolument will be presented to the Scholar in a lump sum by Argosy Property Trust at a time and place agreed to by the sponsor.

History or background of award

The Scholarship was established in 1997 by ING (NZ) Limited. In 2010 the name changed from ING Property Scholarship to Argosy Scholarship.

Additional information

In consultation with Argosy Property Trust, the University of Auckland Council will have the power to amend or vary these Regulations provided that there is no departure from the main purpose of the Scholarship.
