Purpose of award
The award shall be awarded by the University Council to an eligible student who has the best external examination results in the student's final year at secondary school.
Selection criteria
Applicants must be the son or daughter of a general staff member at the University of Otago
and have been enrolled at a secondary school in New Zealand in the preceding year.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
This award is open to candidates who are the son or daughter of a member of General Staff at the University of Otago, who has been enrolled at a secondary school in New Zealand in the preceeding year.

Will be contacted approximately 6-8 weeks after the closing date.

History or background of award
Established in 2004 by donation from funds held by the General Staff Association at the time the Association was wound up.
Additional information
MUST be enrolled in a FULL TIME course of study at the University of Otago.
