Length of award

We're looking for current students willing to support between 3 to 5 students in Semester 1 of 2016, and 3 to 5 students in Semester 2, 2016.

Number of awards offered

Number available: 25.

Purpose of award

Unitec's SUCCESS mentor programme aims to help new students get the best start to their study experience at Unitec. Mentors can also help raise awareness of the many support services Unitec offers its students.

Selection criteria

The programme supports new students to settle into Unitec life with their studies as well as socially.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?

• Be available for a two-day training Noho Marae on the 3rd and 4th of February 2016
• Be available for a meet and greet with your mentees on the 17th of February 2016
• Be available for a series of events and workshops throughout 2016
• Be available to meet with their mentees for up to 20-30 hours per semester

Additional information

To be a SUCCESS mentor you will need to:

• Be studying FULL-TIME in 2016
• Be a Domestic Student - this scholarship is not open for International Students
• Have studied at Unitec for at least one year
