Selection criteria
The scholarship will be available to full-fee paying students who are citizens of Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste or Vietnam, or who are holders of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Cards. Such students may not also be New Zealand citizens or holders of New Zealand residence class visas.
Applicants must have enrolled, or be intending to enrol, full time at the University of Canterbury in their second, third or fourth year of undergraduate university study in any discipline.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
A condition of acceptance is that recipients permit publication and announcement of their acceptance of the award, are willing to beinvolved with UCpublicity as appropriate, and are willing to engage in UC community activities, such as supporting international student activities, student mentoring, and acting as UC ambassadors.

The scholarshipwillbe awarded by the University of Canterbury Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising:
a.a representative of Dr Ngau Boon Keat;
b.a representative of the Molloy family;
c.a representative of the donors; and
d.a representative of the UC Foundation.
