The Bursary shall be awarded annually to one or more recipients.

Purpose of award
The Bursary shall be open to students of Massey University (Palmerston North campus) who are enrolled for full-time study in the Bachelor of Arts degree in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
* be studying at Massey University’s Manawatū campus
* be enrolled for full-time study in the Bachelor of Arts degree in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences
* already have successfully completed at least 120 credits at Massey University.
At the time of application, applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 60 credits.
What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?
All applications are acknowledged by email. The main criterion for selection shall be academic achievement, but financial need may also be taken into consideration.

How and when do students learn of the decision?
The Bursary will be paid in one instalment in May of the year that the award is made.
The Bursary shall be awarded on the recommendation of a Selection Committee including the College of Humanities and Social Sciences' representative on the University Scholarships Committee, and one other member of the College Prizes and Scholarships Committee.
History or background of award
This Bursary has been established to give financial assistance to undergraduate students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts at the Palmerston North campus of Massey University.
The Selection Committee may refrain from making an award in the event of there being no suitable applicant. At the discretion of the University all, or part, of the annual interest may be reinvested in order to maintain the value of the capital fund.
