Purpose of award
The main purpose of the Award is to ensure a greater number of talented and deserving students in the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries experiencing financial hardship, have the opportunity to fulfil their academic goals.
The Award may be made to students who have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time or part-time enrolment in undergraduate or postgraduate study in the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries.
The Award is tenable by domestic and international students.
The basis of selection will be demonstrated financial hardship and academic achievemen.
How do students apply?
The Award will be made by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries (or nominee), the Associate Dean (Academic) of the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries (or nominee), and one other academic staff member from the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries.
History or background of award
The Award was established in 2018 and is funded by the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries Student Appeal Fund.
