Purpose of award

The aim of the Massey University College of Creative Arts International Excellence Scholarships is to attract highly capable new international students with demonstrated academic excellence to study full time in a College of Creative Arts undergraduate programme.

Selection criteria

Open to full-time first-year international full fee paying undergraduate students only.
Applicants must be new to Massey University. Students completing a Foundation programme at Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE), Massey University, will be considered as a new student.

The Scholarship is tenable in any of the following College of Creative Arts programmes:
Bachelor of Design with Honours;
Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours;
Bachelor of Māori Visual Arts;
Bachelor of Creative Media Production; and
Bachelor of Commercial Music.

The Scholarship will be based on academic merit at the discretion of the selection committee.

What conditions are attached to acceptance of this award?

Instalments of the scholarship after the first year are dependent on the recipient maintaining a Grade Point Average of 5.0 (B average).

How and when do students learn of the decision?

The Scholarship will be awarded in installments as a tuition fee discount in each semester of study following confirmation of enrolment, after the official withdrawal without financial penalty (WMAR) date.

Decision makers

A selection committee will be appointed by the College of Creative Arts’ College Executive to assess all applications.
