The Direct Career Service is run by the Ministry of Social Development.

The Service is intended for New Zealanders who are currently unemployed or facing displacement from work, and who need advice to plan their career and find work or training.

The Direct Career Service can help with:

  • making an informed career decision and a personalised career plan
  • exploring training and study options
  • gaining confidence
  • looking for job opportunities
  • writing and updating your CV, cover letters and online profiles
  • preparing for job interviews.
