Scholarships, grants and awards for Pasifika students
There are many scholarships, grants and awards available to Pasifika students, so it pays to do some research to find the best one for you.
Who can I talk to about scholarship applications?
Contact the Pasifika liaison at universities or polytechnics to find out more about scholarships for Pasifika peoples. You could also approach community and church leaders, as they often have information about scholarships and funding opportunities for Pasifika students.
The Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs (MPIA) also has information on relevant scholarships on their website.
"I am a bit disappointed that I didn't try for scholarships before. Sometimes you don't apply because you think you are not good enough. What people have to realise is that some scholarships don't even have any applicants."
Salainaoloa Wilson, Tertiary Student
