Students should be at least 17 years old (unless granted entry under a special application), demonstrate interest in the subject areas, have iwi and hapu support and have strong motivation to be bi-lingual.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
At the conclusion of the course graduates will have knowledge of the principles of sustainability and be able to apply these within kaupapa Maori; be able to communicate in te reo Maori at an intermediate level; have some experience of researching their iwi and marae; have oral history research skills; have an understanding of planning for sustainable environmental management, particularly in freshwater eco-systems.
