Entry requirements

Entry is open to degree graduates. However, those who have been able to demonstrate equivalent practical, professional or educational experience of an appropriate kind may be granted admission. International Students:
International students must meet the minimum academic entry criteria and the English language requirements as identified in the approved Programme Document. English language requirements for International students and students from non-English speaking backgrounds: In addition to meeting the same entry criteria as those listed above, International students and those for whom English is a second language must also meet the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (academic version) language requirements - Overall band score (Academic) of 6.0 IELTS, with no individual score less than 6.0.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The Graduate Diploma of Tertiary Education aims to develop capable tertiary teachers who are personally effective, future focussed, and able to practice sustainably. Graduates will be able to design and facilitate inclusive learning in the tertiary cultural context in which they will be practising. Graduates will design, develop and deliver high quality learning experiences using a variety of approaches, reflecting on professional teaching practice, for the purpose of supporting improved learner outcomes.
