What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the hospitality sector with individuals who are able to work in junior roles supporting chefs in various facilities, venues and businesses.
This qualification is suitable for those employed or interested in a career in the sector. It will support their employment opportunities and equip them with the personal skills to maintain their wellbeing.
Graduates will be able to work under guidance.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Domestic students: -Open Entry International students additionally must meet the following criteria: -Academic or General IELTS 5.0 with no band scores less than 5.0 overall or NZQA approved equivalent. International students may enrol only in the face-to-face and blended (full-time) options. Additional Requirement for students who enrol in the distance delivery (work-based learning): -To be eligible, students must be employed with a minimum of 20 hours in a relevant role in a commercial kitchen (either paid or voluntary).
