What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide competent employees for the meat processing and meat product manufacturing industry who are able to work as Halal slaughter person, under limited supervision.
The learner will benefit by having a qualification that will allow them to work competently as Halal slaughter person, in primary positions in a meat processing and meat product manufacturing operation. This qualification provides a training pathway that allows progression through the meat processing and meat product manufacturing industry.
This qualification will ensure the establishment of standards of competent performance in Halal slaughter that can provide domestic and international markets with confidence that meat products have been processed in accordance with Shariah law.
